Our iPad app is now live in the iTunes app store. Better still, the first three issues are free. Just download the app, tap on the October, November, and December issues, and before you can say "I have seen the future and it is good"—okay, maybe not that fast—you will have a quarter-year's worth of C/D at your fingertips.
Car and Driver for iPad marries the values of print—beautiful layouts, epic photography, longer features—with the speed and depth of the web. Our stories take on a new dimension on the iPad, offering not only additional photos and video, but also a live newsfeed and the opportunity to comment on stories in real time, all integrated seamlessly into a cohesive reading experience. This is next-level stuff, and we are proud of the way this noble experiment turned out. It allows us to preserve and enhance the bedrock Car and Driver values of usefulness, honesty, and fun in an exciting and portable new format.
This will be an ongoing evolution. We are going to keep innovating on this platform in the months ahead and welcome your feedback. So if you have an ipad, download the free issues and let us know what you think. What do you have to lose?
