Officials say many more are still trapped after collapse in eastern side of the Indian capital

At least 32 people have been killed and many more trapped under debris after a five-storey building collapsed in a congested neighbourhood in Delhi, officials have said.

Delhi police commissioner BK Gupta told reporters that at least 60 people were injured when the building collapsed in the eastern side of the Indian capital.

Emergency workers' attempts to pull out those trapped were hampered as fire engines found it difficult to navigate the narrow alleys of Lalita Park, a residential area.
